LICENSED SALES ASSISTANT

Tall Oak Private Wealth is an independent agency of Raymond James Ltd that provides wealth management services to high net worth individuals and their families. They are seeking a qualified Licensed Sales Assistant to work in their London Ontario office.

As Licensed Sales Assistant your duties will include client service and administrative support to the branch and its clients, as well as ensuring the office is managed efficiently and effectively.

  • Specifically you will:
  • Support financial advisors by reviewing reports and following-up on client inquiries and requests to ensure appropriate account maintenance;
  • Book client meetings;
  • Liaise with various departments to execute client requests, problem solve, and other branch duties as assigned;
  • Coordinate marketing activities on behalf of several financial advisors as requested;
  • Provide a high level of customer service ensure client needs are met or exceeded;
  • Process account documentation and liaise with Raymond James operations;
  • Perform project-based work and a variety of routine office duties;
  • Be involved in preparing correspondence and reports, servicing clients’ general day-to-day requests, and other general office duties.
  • Support the design and delivery of financial plans of varying complexity to clearly communicate recommendations and alternatives related to the client’s financial analysis and comprehensive plan design;
  • Participate in client plan presentations as requested by the FA; and
  • Provide ongoing, financial planning support to Financial Advisors by responding to their queries in a timely manner.

To qualify for this opportunity you possess:

  • Two years of industry related experience preferred;
  • Post-secondary education;
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail;
  • High level of professionalism;
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work within time constraints;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work in a team environment; and
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course and Conduct and Practices Handbook

This is a part-time position with the potential to grow into a full-time role.

Successful candidates will have a minimum of 3 years industry experience as a Financial Advisor, and should:

  • Be fully licensed (securities/mutual funds & insurance);

  • Have or be working towards the CFP, CIM or CFA designations.
